Electronic Damper Control (EDC) from BMW reduces variations in wheel load, ensures tires have excellent traction and counteracts bodyshell movement regardless of the weight your automobile may be carrying - and regardless of the state of the road’s surface. EDC can even help shorten braking distances, meaning you enjoy outstanding comfort along with the best in BMW on-road safety. Sensitive sensors constantly monitor all factors influencing the vehicle’s behavior and occupants’ comfort, including road conditions, load changes and vehicle speed. In a fraction of a second, the signals are analyzed by the EDC microprocessor and orders are sent to the actuators on the shock absorbers, which, with the help of magnetic valves, are variably adjusted to provide optimal suspension.

For those wanting to move away from EDC for aftermarket suspension systems or coilover setups, the EDC monitoring can be a bit obtrusive as this type of monitoring is no longer required - resulting in numerous error messages thinking the system has malfunctioned. Our EDC Emulation Module installs in less than 15 minutes and will fully emulate a fully active EDC environment when activated. Module can be activated/deactivated by via the integrated mini USB port within the module housing.

Applications which require a significant surface temperature reduction as a result of high temperature heat soak will benefit from ThermalCoating. Designed to operate in temperatures up to 2100° F, and meet 3000+ hours of a standard ASTM B 117 salt spray testing, this process will protect the substrate from thermal fatigue and oxidation as well as oxidation scaling while reducing skin temperatures by as much as 54%. ThermalCoating meets U.S. military specification MIL-C-81751B for metallic-ceramic coatings, including FAA approval.

With a maximum output of 306 hp from 2,979 cc the 135/335’s N54 powerplant ensures exceptional driving dynamics at all times with all the power of a much larger normal-aspiration engine. Twin turbochargers each forcing compressed air into three cylinders ensure a standard of spontaneity never seen before in a turbocharged power unit. The big advantage of these relatively small turbochargers is their low inertia, avoiding excessive “turbo gap” – the moment which usually passes by until the turbocharger builds up its boost – typical of a conventional turbocharged engine. On the road, therefore, the turbocharged power unit of N54 variant offers all the power and performance of a much larger normally-aspirated engine.

Stock downpipes cause a major restriction in exhaust flow coupled with their small 57mm (2.25″) pipe diameter and numerous crush-bends with factory pre-cats squeezed in engine compartment. This results in excessive backpressure and excessive heat, which ultimately affects overall performance at all RPM loads.

Macht Schnell’s 76.2mm (3.00″) N54 Catless Track Downpipes allow instantaneous turbo spooling and ultra-low backpressure proving significant hp/tq gains that can be felt immediately after installation.

More and more eZ4/Z4M models are being committed to track duty - now there is a solution to bolt those racing seats securely.

Race seats can offer a an immediate improvement in driver feedback keeping you planted to the seat and concentrated on driving, while offering a significant weight savings. However, most race seat companies leave it up to the driver for a mounting solution.

Macht Schnell Floor Mounts are designed for the serous track enthusiast in mind. CAD designed and machined from 6061-T6 aerospace aluminum, these mounts are as strong as they are light. Multiple mounting positions allow driver to dial in an exact seat position that is most comfortable and perfectly centered to the steering wheel.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is an electronic system designed to monitor the air pressure inside all the pneumatic tires on all BMWs manufactured since 2006. Within a predetermined pressure level, a RF signal (433mHz) is sent to each of the receivers located in the wheelwells. These systems report an error message to the driver when pressure is low.

Battery-powered Radio Frequency based TPMS have several disadvantages. Batteries eventually become exhausted and represent a maintenance cost to the consumer. Batteries are chemical systems with lifetimes that unfortunately perform very poorly in extreme temperature environments typical of North America and European climates and in aerospace applications. In order to conserve battery life and to conform to various countries communication authority standards for short range radio communications, the power levels of battery powered TPMS are kept very low . As a consequence of these very low power levels, the construction of certain steel belted radial replacement tires and vehicle metallic geometries can block the low power signal transmission paths.

There are some great dreams. But they’re just dreams - so you think. You’ve dreamt them so many times before. You wake up and say goodbye to them almost as if nothing had happened. BMW M enthusiasts all over the world have a dream like this: a BMW M, consistently optimized for the race track. Pure M genes. A brilliant partner at the physical limits - away from public roads. Fast and honest. But registered for the best public roads, too. It’s not where you go, but how you get there. Whether a demanding run on the race track or a pleasurable cruise along country roads and motorways.

Engine/Drivetrain
- Naturally aspirated engine with an increased displacement of 4,400 cc (based on the S65).
- At least 450 hp, likely more. (445 HP)
- No information regarding KERS (KERS will likely debut in the F10 M5)
- 7 speed DCT only, no manual transmission.
- ‘State of the art’ exhaust system, but not Akrapovic.- (ARVIN MERITOR /w/200-cell race cats and 2 resonators)

Chassis/Brakes/Aerodynamics:
- Brembo brakes (6 pistons front - 4 pistons rear) with steel brake discs. (365mm front, 345mm rear SLOTTED DISCS) Ceramic composite brakes optionally available.
- Weight reduction of 100 kg (220 lbs) compared to E92 M3, maybe even more. (due to the removal of the rear seat and the switch to lighter RECARO front race seats)
- Available as a 2 seater. However, rear seats are optionally available.
- Rollbars standard (there’s a delete option).
- Adjustable front splitter. (made of ABS plastic)
- Adjustable mechanical suspension, no EDC. (SACHS)
- 25mm lower compared to E92 M3
- Same width as the E92 M3.
- Fantastic new wheels. (BBS lightweight cast flow formed MESH)
- New ’state of the art’ seats. (RECARO)

General information
- Nurburgring laptime: 7:40 min
- Not available through BMW dealer network, but directly from BMW Motorsport
- Street legal
- Exclusively painted in Inka Orange (a hommage to early BMW race and sports cars). Availability of other colors at a later date
- The car was tested secretly in France and on a private race track (likely Miramas)
- It will compete with the 911 GT3
- Limited Production (some report 25 units per year)
- Price: Unknown, but less than the price for an 911 GT3. ($110,000 EUROS)

The BMW M3 GTS is manufactured to order on an individual basis at the BMW M production workshops. The price of the BMW M3 GTS with the features shown is expected to be EUR 115,000.- for delivery in Germany, including 19% VAT.
